As a Security Officer Armed Zone Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have baton permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Support emergency and public assistance efforts by providing directions, relaying information, and assisting with evacuations, crowd management, and/or other security-related duties based on location needs.
