Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the lobby, public areas, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, access points, and sensitive areas, verifying credentials and observing for suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
  • Maintain a visible presence while following post orders for an armed assignment, handling security-related concerns with professionalism and supporting day-to-day operations at the location.
