As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; document observed conditions and report suspicious activity or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident records.
  • Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
