About The Position

This role provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. The officer will perform proactive monitoring and timely responses to potential/actual security threats, investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards. They will maintain knowledge of and follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans, and may facilitate planned drills and simulations. Additionally, the officer will provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety and operate in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
In state (Alabama) concealed carry weapons permit required.
Drivers License credentialed from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
