As a Armed Security Officer - Retail Bank in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Our armed officers at a premier financial institution monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the interior, exterior, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring access points, verifying credentials when required, and maintaining a visible presence in assigned areas.
  • Support cash-handling and other sensitive operations, when applicable, by remaining alert to changes in the environment and communicating promptly with site contacts and/or local law enforcement as needed.
