As a Armed Security Officer - Rail Patrol Protection in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This role requires an armed guard card or license and offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Participate in site-specific security training process - failure to pass or complete required training may result in reassignment or removal.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is highly preferred - if selected, you will be required to obtain one before orientation.
  • Handcuffing and OC Spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe public areas for unusual conditions or behavior, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.
