Requirements

Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating security-related concerns according to site protocol.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobby areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints, with attention to unusual activity and/or potential risks.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or disruptions at the location.
Support cash handling and other sensitive operational areas through visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of policy violations, hazards, and/or security-related incidents.
