Requirements

  • Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating security-related concerns according to site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobby areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints, with attention to unusual activity and/or potential risks.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or disruptions at the location.
  • Support cash handling and other sensitive operational areas through visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of policy violations, hazards, and/or security-related incidents.
