Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining awareness of donor privacy and facility operations.
  • Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
