Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with hospital personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify authorized entry, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Prepare accurate incident, patrol, and activity reports, and provide clear communication during shift handoffs regarding ongoing security-related issues and/or observed trends.
