Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
An armed guard card and unarmed guard card is required.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience..
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and control entry activity as directed, verify credentials when required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in a timely manner.
Work with hospital personnel, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership during routine operations and emergency situations, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
