About The Position

Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while supporting staff, patients, and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.
• Assist with traffic flow, visitor direction, and general access control needs while maintaining a visible presence and communicating with local site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
