Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional communication and service. This is an armed and driving post for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a reliable, caring, and agile approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear and timely incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to control entry and/or exit while following post orders and location protocols.
  • Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns.
