Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional communication and service. This is an armed and driving post for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a reliable, caring, and agile approach to every shift.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience is required.
Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear and timely incident documentation.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to control entry and/or exit while following post orders and location protocols.
Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns.
