This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting details to property management and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and help address trespassing, loitering, and/or after-hours activity in accordance with post orders and property rules.
• Maintain professional readiness with assigned armed post equipment, follow all applicable use-of-force guidelines, and complete required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable conditions.
