As a Armed Security Officer - Financial Center in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and collaborate with site personnel and/or first responders when needed.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
