About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer Commerical Building in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit employees, passengers, and visitors by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen for unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and prohibited items in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and emergency responders as needed.
