About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Cleared Security Officer. This role is entrusted with sensitive information and responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. The position involves specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with the clearance level, offering skill development and professional growth opportunities in the security field. There are multiple armed-security openings in the San Antonio area, including DoD, government, healthcare, patrol, and facility security assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site OR Prior military experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Active Texas Level 3 Security License
• Driver's License
• Resume
• Military/Law Enforcement documentation if applicable

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
