As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain required logs and documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and client requirements.
