As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and/or telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
  • Maintain readiness and proper handling of assigned defensive equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, while preparing clear incident reports and shift activity records.
