As a Armed Security Officer Bus Concourse in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring sound judgment. You will support visitors, employees, and transit operations through exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and other members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or special events, and report observed hazards, policy violations, or unusual conditions.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and maintain required communication with supervisors, transit personnel, and law enforcement partners as appropriate.
