Requirements

Valid OPOTA certificate at time of hire
Must supply own duty equipment
High school or equivalent (Required)
Security: 2 years (Required)
Customer service: 2 years (Required)
Driver's License (Required)
OPOTA Certification (Required)
Ability to Relocate: Dayton, OH: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Law enforcement: 1 year (Preferred)
Military: 4 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Secure facility and property through observation and inspections
Monitor surveillance equipment
Monitor access control points
Permit or deny entry to premises
Alert help by sounding facility alarms
Prevent losses and damage
Report irregularities
Inform violators of policy and procedures
Restrain trespassers
Control traffic by directing drivers
Write reports and maintain activity log
Record observations, information, and surveillance activity
Interview witnesses
Conduct self in professional manner
Lend credibility to client site
Be courteous and uplifting
Bring people together by being neutral and understanding of people from diverse backgrounds
Comply with all legal requirements
Contributes to team synergy by communicating, deconflicting, sharing ideas, and complementing efforts
