About The Position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for managing staff and protecting premises, assets, and personnel. They maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. Day to day you’ll … Manage and direct a security shift operation in support of the security services operation. Provide direct supervision to represented officers ensuring accomplishment of requirements in the Contract Statement of Work and compliance documents. Ensures compliance with orders, policies, and procedures, with emphasis on safe conduct of operations. Controls post assignments, absences, and overtime commitments to fulfill mission requirements. If provided, inspects equipment and weapons assigned to shift personnel and to individuals for proper maintenance and operability. Coordinates personnel, equipment, and facility requirements, as required. Administrative Duties The supervisor is responsible for preparing and maintaining employees’ schedules. The supervisor is responsible for reviewing and entry into timekeeping software to capture employees' time and attendance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years supervisory position.
  • Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position.
  • Ability to operate and teach the use of X-rays and Magnetometers systems and emergency equipment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Maryland HQL and CCW
  • OC Spray, Baton, and Handcuffing
  • CPR and First Aid
  • De-escalation and Dealing with Difficult Customers training
  • All training required by the Director of Human Resources
  • Any other training mandated by the company or required per the contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
