As a Security Officer Armed Driver for Patrol in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving role offers the opportunity to work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least six months of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, and/or the military.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
