We are seeking a professional, experienced, and dependable Armed CCW School Security Officer to provide security and protection in a school environment. The ideal candidate must have prior school security experience, excellent communication and observation skills, and the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors. This position requires an active CCW permit, a personally owned firearm with required documentation, and appropriate duty equipment. All candidates must successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

Requirements

Prior school security experience is required
Valid BSIS Guard Card required
Valid California CCW permit required
Required firearms permits/certifications must be current and in good standing
Must own and provide an approved personally owned firearm for duty use
Bill of Sale or other required firearm ownership documentation must be provided
Must have a duty belt and appropriate firearm holster
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check
Must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, reliability, and strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a school security team
Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with students, faculty, administrators, parents, and visitors
Personally owned firearm approved for the assignment
Required firearm ownership documentation, including Bill of Sale where applicable
Appropriate duty belt
Approved duty holster
Other required security equipment as specified by the company and client
All firearms and equipment must comply with applicable California law, licensing requirements, company policy, and school/client requirements.
All applicants will be required to successfully complete a background check before being approved for employment.
Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable licensing, certification, background-check, and client requirements.
Because this position is located in a school environment, the selected candidate must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, patience, discretion, and responsibility.
The ideal candidate understands that school security requires both strong security awareness and excellent interpersonal skills. Officers are expected to maintain a calm, respectful, and professional presence while protecting students, staff, visitors, and school property.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, secure, and professional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the assigned school campus
Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, parking areas, and other designated areas
Enforce school rules, security procedures, and company policies professionally and consistently
Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, safety hazards, and security concerns
Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies
Assist school administrators and staff with security-related concerns
Gather information and accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities
Contact law enforcement, fire, medical, or other emergency personnel when necessary
Maintain awareness of activity throughout the campus and take appropriate action within the scope of training and authority
Conduct routine security checks and inspections of assigned areas
Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with students, staff, parents, and school personnel
Maintain confidentiality regarding student, staff, and school information
Follow all applicable school, company, and security procedures
