About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is seeking reliable, consistent, and high-caliber Armed School Security Officers for a school district in Duncannon, PA. This position provides coverage across three separate school buildings and offers a stable weekday schedule, long-term placement, and year-round earning opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced armed security professionals, veterans, retired law enforcement, or individuals seeking a professional school security environment with steady hours and no overnight shifts. Position starts in September. Coverage across three school buildings. Overtime opportunities available for sports, extracurricular activities, and school events. Full-time school-year placement with additional summer and per diem opportunities available when school is out.

Requirements

• Dependable professionals who show up consistently and take pride in their work
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors
• Can work independently and make sound decisions
• Understand the importance of protecting schools and communities
• Act 235 Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred
• Clean criminal background and ability to pass required screenings

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure school environment
• Conduct patrols of school property and grounds
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents
• Monitor entrances, visitors, and access control
• Build positive working relationships with school staff and administration
• Complete reports and required documentation professionally
• Coordinate with school officials and emergency responders when necessary
