Armed Marine Security Officer
About The Position
We are seeking reliable, professional Armed Security Officers to support the Marine Unit operations within an upscale country club community in Jupiter. The ideal candidate is disciplined, attentive, and committed to providing high level security and exceptional customer service. This role involves performing access control operations, conducting foot, vehicle, waterborne patrols, monitoring community waterways, securing equipment and people, performing surveillance, utilizing gatehouse and marine technology, completing detailed reports, and responding effectively to emergency situations. You will be expected to prevent criminal activity while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and guests on land and on the water. (Please note: Candidates must have basic boating experience.)
Requirements
- Possess valid Florida Class D and G security licenses
- Possess valid Driver’s License
- Basic boating experience and operational knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass background screening and drug test
- Ability to pass a mental health assessment
- Reliable transportation
- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience in a gated country club environment performing patrol, gatehouse, and security dispatch duties
- Experience with alarm systems and responding to alarm activations
- Experience with ABDI gate access system
- Experience with Avigilon camera systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct armed foot, vehicle, and marine patrols to watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure constant site awareness.
- Sound alarms or call police/fire departments immediately in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or the presence of unauthorized persons.
- Respond promptly to all incidents, emergencies, and disturbances on the property.
- Permit authorized persons to enter property by verifying guest/vendor credentials and monitoring all entrances and exits.
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, while ensuring all property rules and post orders are strictly enforced.
- Investigate and prepare detailed reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
- Maintain comprehensive daily activity logs to ensure all shift events are documented for management.
- Provide high-level customer service by aiding residents, members, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Act as a visual deterrent to crime while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons.
