Armed Driver/Messenger - Cash Transport
About The Position
GardaWorld provides cash-management solutions across the cash supply chain, including secured transportation, cash management, vault processing, forecasting, ATM, and cash-recycler services. The company operates a large armored-vehicle fleet and processes, manages, and moves over $8 billion in cash each day while providing 24/7 client support. The Armed Driver/Messenger is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of valuables. The role involves interacting professionally with customers, issuing and receiving confirmation receipts to verify transfers, and following high standards of driver safety in all weather conditions. Employees are expected to remain vigilant to protect customers, colleagues, and the community. All positions are armed, and employees must obtain and maintain the licenses or permits required for their area. The position pays $19.00–$21.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed, on the first shift. Heavy lifting is required.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid, clean driver’s license.
- Have or be able to obtain and maintain active guard and firearm permits or licenses as required by state regulations.
- Have strong customer-service skills.
- Communicate effectively in person and by radio.
- Be willing to operate large vehicles in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Be able to perform heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport valuables.
- Interact professionally with customers and build rapport to meet customer-service standards.
- Issue and receive confirmation receipts to verify each transfer.
- Follow driver-safety standards in all weather conditions and remain vigilant for the safety of customers, colleagues, and the community.
- Maintain the licenses and permits required to work as an armed armored-truck driver/messenger.
