ARMED Court Security Officer - $26.68/hr
About The Position
Securitas is looking for a highly qualified ARMED Security Officer to work Full-Time in Barre and Burlington, VT. Our ideal candidate is former/current military, former law enforcement or former/current security professional. This position may cover shifts at another courthouse site in Burlington, Vermont, as needed. The ideal candidate MUST be flexible to travel between our Barre site (primary) and our Burlington site as needed. Shift times and dates (Monday to Friday) will remain consistent. Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
Requirements
- 21 years of age minimum to receive an armed license
- Valid Driver's License
- MUST be a citizen of the United States
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Ability to pass an onboarding check and drug screen
- Ability to pass PSR test (personality assessment)
- Ability to pass pistol qualification
- Competency with a handgun, shotgun, baton, handcuffs and use of force is necessary
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a Courthouse setting
- High level of professionalism
- Walking/standing for long periods of time
- Flexible work availability
