Arkansas Statewide Organizer

Anthropocene Alliance, INC.Little Rock, AR
Hybrid

About The Position

Anthropocene Alliance (A2) brings together, supports, and organizes alongside grassroots groups on the frontlines of climate change, building collective power to fight for environmental protection and health across the United States and its territories. We are the nation’s largest coalition of frontline communities, representing more than 450 member groups. Recognizing the importance of community organizing in building grassroots power and systems change, A2 has established State Organizing Committees (SOCs) in select states, including Arkansas. A2 Statewide Organizers bring together grassroots groups to increase their capacity to carry out environmental justice campaigns. Organizers assist these groups with base-building, campaign coordination, landscape analysis, skills-building, technical assistance, and connections to city, state, and federal policymakers. The Arkansas Statewide Organizer will play a critical role in advancing the work of the AR SOC.
