About The Position

The Area Visual Merchandiser is responsible for executing, maintaining, and elevating in-store visual merchandising standards across an assigned portfolio of stores, with a strong focus on Hibbett community clusters and key Nike market locations. This role partners closely with third-party vendors, internal visual teams, and store operations to ensure consistent, high-quality visual presentation aligned with brand and partner standards.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in field-based visual merchandising or retail presentation, preferably in a multi-store environment.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and brand execution, with experience supporting major athletic or lifestyle brands preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute visual standards consistently across multiple store locations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage travel, store priorities, and multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally and work collaboratively with third-party vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt execution based on store-specific layouts and conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with visual reporting tools and systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60%), with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain all corporate and brand-specific visual merchandising standards across an assigned portfolio of 15–18 stores, ensuring consistent and compliant presentation.
  • Support visual execution within Hibbett community clusters and key Nike market travel locations, prioritizing stores based on brand presence, volume, and strategic importance.
  • Oversee the installation, upkeep, and enhancement of Nike visual elements, including fixtures, glorifiers, graphics, marketing materials, and branded storytelling components.
  • Execute Nike-driven initiatives, seasonal updates, and retail elevation tests within assigned stores, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to test guidelines.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to coordinate visual upgrades, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring work meets brand and operational standards.
  • Conduct routine store visits 1–2 times per month per location, based on community cluster size and store radius, to assess visual presentation, identify opportunities, and address execution gaps.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to store teams and internal partners regarding visual standards, opportunities for improvement, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with store operations, regional visual partners, and cross-functional teams to support remodels, refreshes, and special projects impacting visual presentation.
  • Document store visit findings, completed initiatives, and outstanding issues, and communicate updates consistently to the Team Lead, Regional Visual Merchandiser.
  • Support promotional setups and seasonal transitions to ensure visually compelling execution that aligns with marketing direction and enhances the customer experience.
  • Maintain awareness of fixture, graphic, and visual asset conditions and communicate needs or risks to appropriate internal teams for resolution.
