About The Position
The Area Sales Representative position is an entry level outside sales professional with the primary responsibility of finding and developing new accounts for Fairbanks Scales as well as supporting existing customer base. This position is expected to achieve annual sales goals for an assigned geography.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record per Company and insurance policies and pass a driving physical.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products - specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels with excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Communicates the benefits of Fairbanks Scales products in order to drive sales.
- Grows top line revenue within an assigned geography.
- Works closely with Area Sales Manager and Service team to support existing customer base and identify potential new customers.
- Coordinates sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Administers quotes for Maintenance Contracts.
- Learns and sustains a strong working knowledge of the Industrial Product Catalog and simple "out of the Catalog"
- Maintains Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, and Orders within CRM system.
- Makes cold calls within the assigned territory.
- Other duties as assigned.
