About The Position

This role involves working in the field with users on job sites and collaborating with distribution partners to sell new products and meet annual new business targets. The Area Sales Manager will engage directly with users to understand their needs and become a product and application expert, aiming to deliver Bosch solutions to major contractors. The position requires working with marketing and local teams to execute events at dealerships, on-site, and at local trade unions to build brand insistence in the assigned market. Collaboration with distributor outside sales representatives on-site and in tool cribs is also a key aspect. The role includes daily CRM engagement for effective business development through data management, budget management, and continuous learning through virtual and in-person trainings to develop product, application, and sales knowledge. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales objectives, identifying new distribution opportunities, expanding distribution within assigned accounts, promoting sales, and maintaining forecasts. Additionally, the role involves managing customer complaints, processing returns according to company policy, executing merchandising programs, measuring the performance of promotional and new product activities, and reporting sales activities, opportunities, and other developments to management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years B2B sales experience (within construction, building materials and/or power tools industry) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sales preferred.
  • High School diploma required
  • Bilingual ability in both English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong negotiating, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, presentation skills and financial acumen with a proven sales track record
  • Strong skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and CRM preferred.
  • Role will require lifting of 10 lbs. - 70 lbs.
  • Must reside in Colorado (Denver, Fort Collins or Colorado Springs area)

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer complaints; prepare customer returns in accordance with company policy.
  • Execute merchandising programs as directed in line with country strategy.
  • Measure performance of promotional and new product activity with key end users
  • Report to management, sales activities and opportunities and other developments in the territory.
