This role supports the Clinical Sales efforts of Boston Heart Diagnostics, focusing on relationships with Physicians, Clinicians (IM, PCP and Cardiologist) Endocrinologists, Nurse Practitioners, Naturopaths, some Chiropractors and other professional clinical disciplines. The Area Sales Manager will speak with clinicians of all levels regarding the science behind BHD testing, and how it helps clinicians to better diagnose and manage CVD. They will speak fluently on the merits of our proprietary tests, and can position our offering favorably versus the competition. The role involves presenting product features and benefits to clinical call points utilizing proper sales technique (probing, qualifying, needs assessment, supporting and closing). The Area Sales Manager will maintain and grow existing accounts as well as drive growth with new account development goals, showing an aptitude to be able to convert clients in competitive selling situations and driving new accounts to become full adopters versus trial dabblers. They will show a combination of growth from those new to advanced lipid testing versus those who have tested with competing labs. The role requires approaching the management of the territory in an efficient manner, using all available resources to grow the business, and building the business around the local area to ensure an ability to service customers on an ongoing basis. The position also requires being timely and complete with all paperwork and administrative duties, including expense reports, CRM call entry, speaker program paperwork and others. Attendance and participation in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as required.
