Area Sales Manager - Southwest Region
About The Position
Avfuel is seeking an outside sales producer for the southwest region of our aviation supply and services company. With a stable history spanning 50 years, Avfuel is a leader in the global aviation marketplace, offering services from aviation fuel and equipment to marketing and sales consultation. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions and investing in ESG initiatives. Our customers include fixed-base operators, airports, corporate flight departments, helicopter operators, commercial airlines, cargo haulers, and government and military entities. We are looking for sales candidates to join our growing team.
Requirements
- Experience in prospecting, sales and closing new business
- Ability to perform calls to generate leads
- Ability to perform analysis to qualify opportunities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills
- Prior 3-5 years outside sales experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be able to drive and fly without restrictions
Nice To Haves
- Aviation experience is highly preferred
- Ideally located in the Los Angeles area; Candidates in Southern California and Arizona may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Acquiring new accounts and managing existing accounts
- Identifying and developing new fuel business opportunities
- Opening additional channels of trade
- Obtaining order commitments
- Developing sales targets and forecasts
- Meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales goals
- Coordinating activities, opportunities and cross-selling with other sales departments
- Developing knowledge of individual airport markets and influencers
- Building a working knowledge of competitor products and services, customer segments and trends affecting the industry
- Territory travel is required: Expect to travel three days per week every other week (Central / Southern California, Las Vegas, and Arizona)
