The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for developing new business relationships and enhancing current partnerships within their assigned sales territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, relationship-building, and closing business. The ASM will use negotiation skills and present products effectively to attract new leads and nurture connections. They will also deliver impactful presentations, represent the company at networking events and trade shows, and lead, train, and oversee Sales & Merchandising representatives and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) staff.
