About The Position

The Area Sales Director (ASD) will focus appropriately on advancing the Opzelura business. The role leads a team of Dermatology Business Directors (DBDs), who in turn lead teams consisting of Dermatology Therapeutic specialists. These teams are dedicated to success within the dermatology business and the Opzelura franchise to maximize business opportunities, and they work collaboratively with other key functions within the dermatology business.

Requirements

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications, or equivalent software skills, is required.
Documentation of success in annual reviews and up to date sales reports.
Proven track record in sales and leadership performance, with experience in access and reimbursement considered an advantage.
Ability to motivate, retain, and develop team members, including those in roles such as DBDs and Dermatology Therapeutic Specialists.
Extensive experience in specialty therapeutic sales within the dermatology industry, with a focus on skills and achievements rather than specific years of experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities who may require them.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to the DBDs and DTS on the marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging of internal/external resources (e.g., discretionary spend), ensuring inclusive and equitable access to resources for all team members.
Assist in developing local thought leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
Share best practices with team members, colleagues, and headquarters.
Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
Lead diverse teams and regions of responsibility to meet revenue targets.
Employ strong leadership skills, develop business plans for the assigned areas, and implement national level sales strategies.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving dermatology marketplace and its various customer segments.
