About The Position

The Area Representative works with Directors to fulfill FCA's vision, pursue its mission, and live its values by implementing the ministry plan for an assigned area. In FCA Sports Environments, the Representative ensures a consistent approach to discipleship—making disciples who make disciples. The role is accountable for ensuring that FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and adheres to FCA policies and procedures. FCA expects the duties and responsibilities to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as an act of worship.

Responsibilities

• Agree with and abide by FCA's Christian Community Statement.
• Follow a spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
• Lead and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Connect with and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct oneself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.
• Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes through one-on-ones, Huddles, and events.
• Train and equip staff and volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples in Sports Environments.
• Oversee recruiting, training, and development of effective and diverse volunteers.
• Recruit qualified volunteers for Sports Environments.
• Provide volunteers with tools, resources, and training to develop their skills and capacity to carry out their responsibilities.
• Prepare volunteers for their roles and responsibilities by helping them grow spiritually and personally.
• Connect with, communicate with, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to become fully funded.
• Manage and steward finances for the assigned area.
• Establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan by growing the Home Team, major donors, and events.
• Work with the Director to serve the aligned International Region through prayer, giving, and going.
