About The Position

The Area Reliability Coordinator (ARC) is responsible for being the owner and planner for the equipment within their assigned value streams. The role involves identifying and acting upon opportunities for continuous improvement and better reliability through root cause analysis and other Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. The ARC connects with operations to ensure opportunity windows exist for planned repair work. This position reports to the Manager of Chemical Process and Material Quality Control and is part of the Equipment Services team located in Morrisville, NC, and will be an on-site role. The ARC will play an active role in value stream DM meetings and selected ES meetings. They will participate in project design reviews to ensure the serviceability of new and existing equipment, evaluate the impact of equipment downtime, maintenance backlog, and parts availability concerns, and proactively problem-solve and communicate risks and solutions to internal and cross-functional stakeholders. The role also includes executing and coordinating preventive maintenance, calibration, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules, standard work, operating procedures, quality system, ERP, and CMMS requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 2+ years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, controls, pneumatics, mechanical, fluidics, and optical devices.
  • Be able to lift or carry 25-50 lbs. frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in working proficiency in decision making skills; capable of using experience and judgment to perform tasks & repairs when instructions are not available.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn, deploy, & document root cause analysis and investigations related to equipment breakdowns.
