Legacy Vacation Club LLC•Steamboat Springs, CO
•$70,000 - $80,000•Onsite

About The Position

At andCo Hospitality, we believe great stays are created when thoughtful service and strong operations come together. Across The Fold and Legacy Vacation Resort in Steamboat Springs, our goal is simple: create memorable experiences, care for our properties, and make every guest feel genuinely welcome. We’re looking for a hands-on Area Operations Manager to help lead the full operations of both Steamboat Springs resorts. If you’re the kind of leader who can move easily between strategy and execution, develop strong teams, hold high standards, and jump in when the operation needs you, you might be exactly who we’re looking for. As Area Operations Manager, you’ll connect people, process, property, and guest experience across The Fold and Legacy Vacation Resort. You’ll be highly visible in the operation, focused on the details that shape each stay while keeping an eye on the bigger picture: stronger execution, better guest satisfaction, engaged teams, well-cared-for properties, and sustainable financial performance.

Requirements

  • At least five years of progressive hospitality operations experience, with leadership experience in a hotel, resort, vacation ownership, or similar environment.
  • Understanding how the full resort operation comes together, from Front Desk and Housekeeping to Maintenance, property condition, and the complete guest journey.
  • A hands-on leader who believes the best way to understand the operation is to be in it.
  • Ability to build teams, coach people, set expectations, and create accountability without losing the human side of leadership.
  • Understanding of guest satisfaction metrics and how to turn feedback and operating data into meaningful improvements.
  • Comfortable with budgets, forecasts, labor, purchasing, inventory, and operating expense controls—and understand how operational decisions affect financial performance.
  • A problem solver who sees an issue, gets to the root cause, and follows it through to resolution.
  • Ability to see the big picture without missing the details that shape the guest experience.
  • Clear communication, ability to build trust, and create alignment across teams and different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and prioritize when the unexpected becomes part of the day.
  • Reliable, organized, ethical, and accountable, someone others can count on to get things done.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and eager to learn and use the technology and systems that help our resorts operate smarter.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent hospitality leadership experience speaks for itself.
  • Flexibility with your schedule and understanding that great hospitality doesn’t always follow a traditional 9-to-5 routine.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day operation across The Fold and Legacy Vacation Resort, keeping both properties aligned with their respective standards while driving consistent execution, accountability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Being present in the operation, walking the properties, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, connecting with team members, and making sure the details are right.
  • Bringing Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, shuttle operations, and other resort functions together so the entire operation works as one team.
  • Moving our guest satisfaction scores in the right direction, reviewing feedback and performance trends, identifying root causes, and turning insights into action.
  • Setting clear expectations and creating accountability while coaching and developing team members to grow their confidence, capabilities, and leadership skills.
  • Owning the follow-through, making sure operational issues, guest concerns, projects, and action plans move from identification to resolution.
  • Keeping both resorts guest-ready, clean, safe, well maintained, properly stocked, and operating consistently with company and brand standards.
  • Rethinking routines, looking for smarter, more efficient ways to work and improving processes that strengthen both the guest and team member experience.
  • Using our systems, reporting, and guest feedback to spot trends, measure performance, and identify opportunities before they become problems.
  • Keeping a close eye on the business, supporting labor planning, scheduling, productivity, purchasing, inventory controls, budgets, forecasts, and operating expenses.
  • Helping drive strong financial performance by balancing the guest experience with responsible operational decision-making and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Protecting our physical assets, supporting preventive maintenance programs and making sure identified property issues are prioritized, assigned, and completed.
  • Being a protector of people and property by reinforcing safety, security, risk management, and compliance expectations across both resorts.
  • Building strong partnerships with corporate teams, vendors, contractors, and other operational partners to keep priorities moving forward.
  • Planning ahead for the rhythm of Steamboat, from winter operations and shuttle service to peak occupancy periods and seasonal transitions.
  • Serving as Manager on Duty and providing leadership when the business needs it, including weekends, holidays, and high-demand periods.
  • Wearing many hats, you see what’s needed, step in, take ownership, and keep the operation moving.
  • Taking on additional projects and responsibilities as the needs of the resorts evolve.
