The Area Manager is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. The Area Manager will maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. They will also identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns. Additionally, the Area Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching, supporting, and modeling policies, and identifying training needs. This role is crucial in building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, attracting and retaining talent, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics, aligning with Walmart's values and commitment to becoming a regenerative company. The Area Manager will also focus on serving customers by delivering results, adapting to customer shopping behaviors, and making data-driven decisions that balance short and long-term priorities.
