About The Position

The Area Manager position is responsible for formulating and implementing business strategies which direct business development and operations activities within an area. This role requires the candidate to provide the general direction for an area consisting of multiple locations. Additionally, the Area Manager has P&L accountability within an area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Supply chain and eight (8) - ten (10) years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the building materials industry required.
  • Computer proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) required

Responsibilities

  • Determines location-level sales strategy, and merchandising strategy for assortment of core product and services to offer customers.
  • Maintains operational responsibility for multiple locations across an area, potentially including dedicated manufacturing operations.
  • Maintains Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability at an area level.
  • Provides leadership at an area level, including guiding and influencing market(s) strategy, business development strategy, people strategy, product strategy, and core customer strategy.
