About The Position

The Area Manager will play a key role by providing multi-site operational leadership for our after-school programs. As an AlphaBEST Area Manager, you'll be trained and mentored to ensure the success of engaging programs that advance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children throughout your area's program sites. You will work collaboratively with peers and the Regional Leadership Team, staff, parents, and school administrators to develop AlphaBEST's brand in your area, respond to and resolve concerns from stakeholders, hire and develop exceptional, diverse, and high-performing team members including Site Directors and Group Leaders, evaluate program safety and performance, making corrections as necessary, build sustainable community partnerships with local business leaders and organizations, maintain existing customer relationships and build new opportunities for growth, and provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered throughout your area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in a related field
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills, preferably in a multi-site environment
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, creative and sensitive to children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse population
  • Knowledge of state policies and procedures regarding child care regulations
  • Proven ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children
