About The Position

We are seeking an Area Manager - Chicago for our growing region. This position will be located in our Chicago office. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality services and interface with many other groups in the organization to ensure we are providing the full range of services STV offers. Responsible for management and oversight of the Construction Management Business Unit for our Chicago office. Responsible for management and oversight of the Business Organization or Business Unit. Develop, implement and oversee the strategic and annual business plan. Provide management for all staff assigned to the Business Unit. Conduct and is responsible for all annual performance reviews in accordance with company policy. Develop, implement and manage annual labor budget. Prepare and manage quarterly workload projections, monthly Revenue Recognition Report, monthly Exceptions Report and assist with collections as necessary. Organize and participate in business development activities. Oversee business development activities of Group Leaders and Project Managers. Assist with proposal preparation and/or review. Coordinate teaming arrangements for project proposals as necessary. Provide input with respect to hiring, firing, advancement, promotion and other changes in Business Unit employee status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 15+ years of related experience
  • Previous experience managing business units with a wide-ranging client base
  • Previous experience with state and local clients including but not limited to local counties and municipalities
