About The Position

McMahon Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, professional salesperson to join their team as an Area Manager in Marietta, Ohio. This role covers Southeastern Ohio and surrounding areas, representing leading brands like Volvo, Mack, Jerr-Dan, Autocar, and Hino Trucks. The Area Manager will focus on new and pre-owned truck sales, as well as parts and service opportunities. This is an ideal role for a self-starter who can develop full accounts in a territory that rewards versatility, build lasting client relationships, and consistently meet sales goals by creating strategies that anticipate customer needs.

Requirements

Proven success in sales (truck/automotive industry experience strongly preferred).
CDL preferred (but not required); must be able to obtain a class B CDL.
A customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prospect and develop new business while expanding relationships with existing customers for Truck sales, Parts sales, and Service sales.
Conduct customer visits, needs assessments, product demonstrations, and fleet evaluations across the territory.
Manage the full sales cycle including proposals, orders, delivery coordination, and post-sale follow-up.
Use CRM tools and dealership processes to manage leads, track activity, and drive consistent results across product lines.
Gain a deep understanding of each customer’s business, challenges, and goals, offering tailored solutions from McMahon and our OEM partners.
Collaborate with internal teams and OEM partners to provide seamless service and support.
