About The Position

This role involves managing systems operations within a grocery environment, ensuring associates are trained on and adhere to company policies and standards. The Area Manager will supervise and develop a team, monitor productivity, and implement the business plan for their area of responsibility. Key responsibilities include managing systems operations, demonstrating knowledge of systems procedures, and ensuring associates understand and use procedures for systems operations, handling emergencies, and maintaining equipment. The role also emphasizes building high-performing teams, attracting and retaining talent, acting with integrity, serving customers by putting them first and making data-driven decisions, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) OR Associate's Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics); and 1 year experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees
  • OR 1 year experience as a Walmart Logistics supervisor or manager; supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
  • OR 3 years experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees
  • OR 3 years experience in an Information Systems environment maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems (e.g., networks, computer hardware and software)
