About The Position

This role involves managing the quality assurance and systems for a specific area. The Area Manager will be responsible for implementing business plans, monitoring productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and managing systems hardware and software. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting systems applications and working with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
• Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures, monitoring associate compliance, and distributing supporting documentation.
• Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs.
• Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
• Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing work to install new systems, ensuring repairs are completed, and tracking inventory and ordering components.
• Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on systems problem resolution with Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors, and supporting the continuing development of current and future systems applications.
