It involves supervising and developing associates and leaders, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation. The role also entails managing facility inspection planning, preventive maintenance (including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and emergency management systems), coordinating contracts with outside service contractors, and evaluating work quality. The Area Manager ensures quality and safety standards are maintained through associate training and compliance monitoring. They provide guidance on facility maintenance and repairs, conduct onsite inspections, collaborate with other facility managers, and resolve issues with service providers. The role requires demonstrating up-to-date expertise, providing business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, and adapting to organizational changes.
