This position implements the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. The Area Manager monitors and manages the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. They maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing supporting documentation. This role also identifies and resolves associate, customer, and supplier concerns. The Area Manager supervises and develops associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. They are responsible for hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluating associates and leaders. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves working collaboratively, communicating effectively to motivate and influence, attracting and retaining talent, and recognizing contributions.
