About The Position

The Area Manager - Facility Services is responsible for ensuring cleaning meets City Wide standards across various buildings. This role involves conducting quality checks, training staff, managing supplies, and overseeing Night Managers. The Area Manager will also support new initiatives, manage budgets, and assist with recruitment and onboarding. This position requires a strong understanding of cleaning techniques, client complaint policies, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• AA degree, preferred.
• 3-5 years prior management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Proficiency in Email and Internet Knowledge.
• Professionalism.
• Having a sense of urgency.
• Task completion on assigned projects or job functions.
• OSHA certified.

Responsibilities

• Conducts quality checks on all buildings on a rotating basis to ensure cleaning is up to City Wide standards.
• Communicates policies and procedures to in-house employees and Independent Contractors (IC).
• Trains in-house employees on proper cleaning techniques.
• Replenishes supplies to facilities, as needed.
• Ensures Night Managers adhere to the Client Complaint Policy.
• Partners with FSMs to ensure Night Managers execute the route.
• Sends nightly reports to FSMs recapping areas of opportunity, employee issues, etc.
• Maintains a location key box.
• Knows how to work load a building.
• Supports New Starts and ASM Global large events.
• Audits company vehicle.
• Manages in-house floor/floater team.
• Remains current with online training.
• Maintains Divisional Night Manager budget.
• Visits STAR accounts per Star Account Policy.
• Covers open Night Manager shifts (to include absences, PTO, etc.).
• Conducts weekly Night Manager meetings.
• Supports the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of in-house new hires, including Night Managers.
• Facilitates Night Manager onboarding plan.
• Completes Night Manager audits.
• Conducts Night Manager field rides.
• Reviews timesheets and processes payroll.
