You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love. In this position... At Ford Motor Company, we are taking our Area Managers to the next level. This member of the plant leadership team is responsible for leading change efforts within the plant in order to meet global manufacturing standards. They will support employees by removing barriers to their success, and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a technical field
  • 3+ years of dimensional controls experience
  • 5+ years of experience, or working knowledge in weld construction and weld integrity (Laser braze, spot welding, and MIG welding)
  • 5+ years of experience working in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment
  • 8+ years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TWOS, NGAVS, QLS, ECATS)
  • Highly adept at working in a Production, Quality, and Maintenance manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance Experience, either as a journeyperson or a salaried employee
  • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel, and plant management
  • Strong ability to present in front of senior management
  • Ability to teach Ford Production System principles
  • Competent in the use of data for decision-making
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems
  • Works well under pressure
  • A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors, combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Ford Production System operating systems and processes to global manufacturing standards
  • Business results (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment)
  • Remove internal barriers by getting resources and aligning objectives and systems
  • Lead transformation and change management efforts
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching and development of “Leaders as Teachers” at all levels of the organization. Ensure employees receive the necessary training, coaching, and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organization.
