About The Position

The Area Manager is responsible for driving territory growth, achieving sales objectives, supporting clinical adoption of aortic therapies, and building strong customer relationships across assigned accounts. The role combines commercial execution, clinical case support, market development, and channel partner management to expand access to therapy and strengthen market presence within the territory. This role is based in Mumbai, India and is an onsite field sales position responsible for managing the Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh territories. Regular travel is required in the assigned geography to support customer engagement, case coverage, business developmentss and stakeholder relationship management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 6+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling or supporting aortic therapies, endovascular products, or vascular intervention technologies.
  • Experience conducting physician training, product education, and technical case support activities.
  • Established relationships with Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Cardiologists, or key stakeholders within healthcare institutions across Western or Central India.
  • Experience managing distributors or channel partners in a medical device sales environment.
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement processes, tender management, and healthcare market dynamics in India.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and achieve business objectives within the assigned territory for the Aortic portfolio.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans based on market opportunities, account priorities, and customer needs.
  • Provide clinical and technical support during aortic procedures in collaboration with physicians and catheterisation laboratory teams.
  • Conduct product presentations, therapy education, and technical discussions with Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital decision-makers, and other stakeholders across assigned accounts.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and support business planning.
  • Manage channel partner performance, align execution with business objectives, and support demand generation activities within the territory.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and account plans while ensuring timely follow-up on customer requirements.
